Method
Want a dish that will leave an impression? These drumstick candies are not only beautiful—they are also incredibly delicious, with a sweet sauce and crispy coating on the outside. Perfect for a festive dinner, for children, or for serving when entertaining at home.
It is essential to peel the skin and residue from the top of the bone to expose it – for a clean and stylish "candy" look.
It is recommended to use a sharp knife and cut the tendon around the bone, then push the meat downwards.
Ingredients:
- 10 chicken drumsticks (small or medium)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey/silan
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- A little salt and pepper
How to prepare:
Preparing the shanks:
- Clean each leg thoroughly – remove the skin from the top and push the meat downwards to create a "candy" shape.
Preparing the marinade:
- Mix in a bowl: Honey/silan, barbecue sauce, garlic, paprika, oil, and seasoning.
Combining and marinating:
- Place the drumsticks in a bowl with the sauce and mix well.
- Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or 3 hours in the refrigerator if possible).
Baking:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Place the drumsticks in a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes until brown and juicy.
- You can turn it over halfway through and/or spread the marinade again.
Serving:
- Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.
