Method
This is an old-fashioned recipe – a cut of beef cooked with love, with vegetables and spices, until it softens and falls apart with a fork. A combination of deep flavors, juiciness, and aromas that leave no one indifferent.
Ingredients:
- 800 grams whole beef fillet
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 package of puff pastry dough
- 1 large onion
- 2–3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 egg for brushing (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Rosemary or thyme (for aroma)
How to prepare:
Quickly grilling the meat:
- Dry the fillet thoroughly, season with salt and pepper.
- Sear on all sides in a hot pan with olive oil, 1–2 minutes per side until lightly browned.
- Remove from heat and spread with mustard. Cool.
Assembling the dish:
- Roll out the dough on baking paper.
- Roll to close completely. Seal the edges.
- Brush with egg (if using).
Baking:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Bake for about 30–40 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and beautiful.
Serving:
- Let the dish rest for 10–15 minutes before cutting to preserve juiciness.
